January 2024: Jayma Erker joins the lab! She is a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student from UW Bothell. She is interested in understanding how to use engineering to make biological systems work to our advantage.

January 2024: Maya Singh has joined our lab as a PhD student in Bioengineering. She comes to our lab after attending the University of Colorado, Boulder for Chemical & Biological Engineering. Her contributions will focus on assay development for project RESTRICT. Welcome, Maya!

November 2023: Dr. ****Olanrewaju , assistant professor for UW Bioengineering, has been awarded a Rogel Faculty Support Award. The grant honors an outstanding junior faculty member who has made important contributions to the Department of Bioengineering, the College of Engineering and the University of Washington. Congratulations, Ayo!

October 2023: Olanrewaju Lab attends the Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting! Undergraduates Diya Rekhi and Zoe Blumenkranz presented project pHast Cam and undergraduate Carrie Lin presented project Microchip RESTRICT.

September 2023: The lab onboarded several undergraduate students to the team: Annie Qiu, Mazin Ibrahim, and Megan Castellanos. Welcome!

August 2023: Dr Megan Chang joined our lab as a postdoctoral fellow. She comes to us after a PhD in Bioengineering at Rice University and a B.A. (cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering & Global Health and Health Policy at Harvard University. We are excited for Megan to take our work on enzymatic assay development and HIV drug level feedback in new directions.

July 2023: Graduate researchers Cosette Craig and Cara Brainerd attended the International AIDS Society Conference in Brisbane, Australia! Cara was selected for the IAS 2023 Young Leaders Program and enjoyed meeting other young people from all around the globe who are all working on different ways to support those living with HIV.
